Welcome to Chico, CA. It's a beautiful Sunday,
but nobody's out enjoying nature (except me).
Everyone else is inside, gearing up to watch their favorite team
Happy Superbowl Sunday, February, and new week. Go, 49ers!
Welcome, My Sillies! Together we'll uncover morsels of sweetness in the light and dark. You'll crave chocolate. I'm a naughty influence. {Note: I avoid Hershey's but partake in regular fixes of fair trade and organic varieties.} Please enjoy a ravenous sampling, and may you fast become addicted. Cheers to all things sweet. That, Dear Sillies, includes you.
Yes, beat the Ravens!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Robyn.
OK, I admit I don't know what's inside those Forty-niners boxes. They don't look big enough for the peanut-shaped ball, so is it chocolate?
ReplyDeleteThese photos are awesome Robyn, I adore the leaves. Best of luck to your team in tonight's big game, I know that Superbowl day in America is a massive event and it'd be cool if the 49ers won.
ReplyDeleteI like the Ray Lewis saga but I am for the Niner's all the way.
ReplyDeleteI love that it's fall in California. We are for sure behind in seasons. Beautiful pictures, Robyn.
ReplyDeleteI love the city of S.F. so 'Go 49'ers'!
ReplyDeleteHope they win too and wish it looked like that at my zoo, all friggin snow here hmph.
ReplyDeleteIt's not looking good, Alex.
ReplyDeleteGB, they're blocks, and I have no idea what they're for. Wish they were chocolaty.
YW, it's major. The most exciting thing that happened is the power went out. I think one of the Niners flipped the switch. They're losing badly. =(
Chuck, I'll look into that story. it ain't looking good, Chuck. The lights are still out. But Beyonce rocked it.
Traci, thanks for visiting. Yeah, I'm spoiled with our weather.
Joanne, SF is fun. I lived in the Bay Area for 19 years. Orleans is fun too, so I'm not too upset that they're the clear winners.
Pat, sorry for the weather and -the game isn't over yet- but, let's face it, it is.
xoRobyn
Great photos Robyn! I wonder if they lost viewers, because of the power failure?
ReplyDeleteJulie
ReplyDeleteI was pulling for your boys and for a few minutes there I really thought they'd pull it out.
Alas and Alack, the OTHER brother won.
EmptyNest, they probably did. It was embarrassing for the Niners at that point.
ReplyDeleteKeetha, yes, I heard/read (I only watched from the half time show til the lights went out) they were on fire in the last two minutes. Alas, too little, too late. Oh, well.
At least the 49ers lost to a good city's great team.
xoRobyn
enjoyed seeing the photos of your city, robyn,
ReplyDeletelovely fall colours. another great set!
have a wonderful day/week ahead!
xoxo
I can't believe SF didn't pull it off in the final minutes. By all rights they should have. I was rooting for them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, beautiful pictures!
Well our team didn't win, but it was a great day!
ReplyDelete"Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore.' " Oh crap! And I'm obviously getting old---I thought that Beyonce would catch her death of cold in that outfit. BUT, the beer dip and pretzels were superb. And there's next year.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the 49ers. They made a good run at it. I'm sure Ravens fans were having coronaries. Since my team didn't even make the playoffs, I didn't much care who won, although I watched it. I will say this, I loved watching "Puss Boy Crybaby" Jim Harbaugh get beat.
ReplyDeleteOh well. Pitchers and catchers report in a couple weeks.
I heard a rumor that you pulled the plug on the stadium.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. Wish we had a little more sun to enjoy our FRIGID weather. W.C.C.
ReplyDeleteHi there my sister friend. It's your long lost bloggy buddy who has fallen off the face of the earth, but somehow managed to crawl her way back for a visit. Hope all is well and I am sorry that the Niners lost. Jim Harbaugh is one of my fave people since he used to play for the Bears.
ReplyDeleteBetty, thanks. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteBnB, I'm glad they made a comeback and showed their true colors near the end. Too bad it wasn't enough. Thank you guys.
Pat, yeah, that was an exciting game. And I'm never too unhappy when New Orleans gets a morale boost.
Margaret, great, twisted minds think alike. I keep thinking about Poe's poem too.
Al, baseball next, huh? What do men do between sports seasons? On second thought, I'd probably do better without knowing.
PTM, damn, I promised a stash of cash and chocolate cake if they didn't tell.
WC, sending some CA sun your way.
Melly, no worries. Thank you for stopping by. I know you're stretched thin and I love ya no matter what.
xoRobyn
I didn't watch the game, and I didn't go out and enjoy nature. How boring am I? :) I always love your nature pictures. Thank you for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteSigh...
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to get over it.
Oh, I have not gotten over the loss.
