Happiness, Life and Love & Who Invited December?

December, Dears, wasn't welcome. It arrived regardless. It always does, right?
May it bring you warmth and safety, along with moments of:
Taken on the Greek island of Mykonos, this photo summarizes my Fall trip to Greece.

This one of locks with names and loving sentiment is for the beautiful Lux. She writes with deep sincerity about life, love, and all the big issues worth pondering.

Speaking of love, yeah - he was on my mind the whole time. When I had one opportunity to use the Internet, I messaged Dude Three:

"Having a wonderful time. I miss you. Hope all's well."
Three: "I think about you every day. Glad you're having fun, can't wait to see you."
Yippee!

I was going to advertise this FREE SHOP (also in Mykonos) to anyone in the market. Then, I thought of Rosey. She gives free things away all the time. It's only fair that you get this FREE SHOP, Rosey! Enjoy it and all the cute, trendy clothes. Note the nice panties by the sign.
This flag is for good Martha, the best Martha there is.
I think you have Greek in you, is that right, Martha? May you wave this flag proudly.

When I returned, Dude Three was the first to know.
His response: "I thought you were coming back tomorrow. Can't see you today. Maybe tomorrow. Friday for sure."

Was that it? Is it over already?

Me: "Not sure what to make of this, feeling insecure. Trying not to be too disappointed. Friday's good, was hoping for sooner."
Three: "No reason to be insecure. I missed you girl. Can't wait to see you. We'll have a nice few days together this weekend."

Phew! Phew?? We shall see...

Love you, my Silliest of Sillies.
Take care of yourselves.

Dude Three, Part Three and Other Stuff

   He’s already two minutes late! A knock at the door interrupted my prelude to despair.
   “I was on the wrong street,” Dude Three explained, a bit frazzled.
   “No worries. Yeah, it’s confusing. It’s a broken street, and a cul de sac. We’re fine.”
---
   Streams of sunlight warmed my back and head, as Three led me to a peaceful, secluded spot along Bidwell Creek.  He’d brought a hearty assortment of snacks (Havarti cheese, pepperoni and sandwich meats, a Pale Ale for himself, bottled water for me). Three rested a large tan beach towel on the grass, and confessional began.
   “I want to explain. So I’m sorry again about not following up after we met. Liz and I used to go to Lake Almanor all the time, so I was in a funk about stuff. But when I saw you at the concert, I was thinking 'I really had fun with her.' Robyn--” he pointed at his arm--“I wear my heart here. I’m faithful, I’m a good guy. That wasn't like me.”
   I couldn’t help but start (or keep) falling. I think it’s that innocent childlike vulnerability. I can relate; I never matured beyond it, I guess. Or is it the nurturer in me who wants to soothe and comfort? Oy. Dunno. I know that we were both comfortable and attracted from the start.
   “I do need to say,” I began, “when you dissed me to go sell baseball cards on EBay, I gotta tell you, Three, that’s not good for a woman’s ego.”
   He laughed.
   I smiled. “Look, I won’t let you forget about it. But"--I imparted an elbow nudge--"I’ll give you a free pass, since you manned up and we’re here. You've used your only free pass.”
   “Challenge accepted,” he grinned.
   Three explained about his admittedly nerdy baseball card hobby. He told me about his two grown (young adult) children. Things were a bit touchy with the younger one, though he spoke like a proud, loving father.
   “Okay,"--my turn--"respect is key."
   “I agree. Friendship first, and I need to earn your trust.”
   I liked that he realized this. “And monogamy.”
   “One love." Three raised an index finger. "Yes! One love!"
   I told Three about Pizza Delivery Boy and Paul E., both of whom were anti-monogamy.  Oh, and the married man who tried to kiss me at a party. And, no. I shut-up, else I'd continue forever.
--
   There was no romance (not yet anyway).
   I'd invited him to a house concert after our picnic, so we went back to my place in-between things.  (I know, sorry. It's a real story, though, so it shall continue).
~~~~~~~
Now for a tribute to the one and only Jono. In addition to being a very intelligent, worldly, warmhearted man, Jono's become a dear friend. We've shared snippets about Judaism. Thus, this picture outside of a  synagogue in Greece is for you, Jono. Unfortunately, I couldn't go inside. We were there during the High Holidays (Jewish New Year).
 Have a safe and relaxing weekend, my Dear Sillies.
Halloween Erotica and Grecian Dedications
First, and leading up to Hallow's Eve, some Halloween Erotica:
And now, My Annual Public Service Announcement:
   Please keep in mind that Hershey's is evil. By this, I mean that despite great amounts of humanitarian efforts to challenge them, they continue to pay into child slave labor - children work die under horrid conditions in cocoa plantations (mainly, in the West African Ivory Coast) in order to get chocolate for this monstrous company. When shopping for Halloween candy, please avoid Hershey's. Good alternatives include anything fair trade and/or any treats at places like Trader Joe's. Thank you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<<>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<<
   Next, a few dedications. This one, Greek Viagra gelato, is for AlPenwasser because, well, Mrs. Penwasser. She deserves it. And by it, I mean it!
   Our tour guide treated us to gelato in a little village of Oia (pronounced Ee-ah). Oia's on the Greek island of Santorini. Their star flavor: Greek Viagra. I didn't need any, so I went with Italian Lover. It was delicious, and I heard Greek Viagra is too. It's creamy with honey and nuts.

This one is for Gorilla Bananas, who asked if I tried the Ouzo.* Did I try it? Truth is, I readily posed for this photo, after the rest of the group finished all but a few drops. Those drops trickled down my throat and rattled my braincells like never before. Anything for a good photo (for you, that is)!

 *Pronounced oo-zoh, Ouzo is the official alcoholic beverage of Greece and Cyprus. By law, it cannot contain LESS than 37.5 percent alcohol. Whoosh! Yeah. It tastes like very, very, very strong black licorice. I know this ONLY because a few little drops found their way down my throat here.

   Before the Ouzo scandal, I jumped into these warm, clear, salty waters of the Aegean Sea. (That's me in the upper left of the group.) The water is so salty, it kept us afloat. "Swimming" was effortlessly fun. I'm dedicating this scene to fishducky because she's clearly the appropriate recipient of a wet noodle float on the Aegean Sea - based on her name alone.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Okay, my friends,
Please be safe. Be well. And be good to yourselves.
Love to you.
