Who Invited September?

Dear Sillies, Didn't we just welcome Sextilis? Who invited September? I certainly didn't, but it's here. Rude!

Well, we do have these things to celebrate:

For Her Royal Highness (Debra's owner), September is National Happy Cat Month. I hope there's a National Unhappy Cat Month. That's only fair. Some kitties can't help but be chronically grumpy, given who they own. HRH happens to be lucky, but not all cats are.

For kids and Johnny Depp fans, September 19th is National Talk Like A Pirate Day. Get practicin', mateys!

For Janie Junebug, September 24th is National Punctuation Day!?():~>

Do you have a birthday this month? Anything in particular you look forward to? Regardless, may September treat you well. Fall is almost here.

Love you.

  1. If September means the end of this dreadful year is getting closer, I welcome it.

    1. Yes, the year's end will be here before we know it - even if we muddle and trudge painstakingly through. We'll get there.
      Thanks, EC.

  2. A Punctuation Day? Cool. I have a favourite punctuation mark and people think it's weird when I ask them what there's is. Semi-colon, if you're wondering :-)

    1. The semi-colon is the best, Annalisa. I'm not sure if it carries this meaning across the world. Here, it's a symbol that even when we feel at our end, there's always more to come and reason for hope.

Mine is the exclamation mark. I overuse it!!
      Cheers. =)

  3. Too bad they never did set up a Grumpy Cat Day.

    1. That day would be far more popularly observed, right, Alex.

Thank you for chiming in, friend.

  4. Today - Ray and I married 31 years ago. He chose it - opening day of dove season - so he'd never forget it. Very romantic! And yes, I like exclamation marks. Happy September to you!

    1. Wow. Happy Anniversary to you and Ray! He's a good one who knows he has a good one. That is very romantic. Enjoy your anniversary month all month long. (Tell him I said so, if necessary.) =)

    1. She pwns us all, everyone who knows her. And thanks for the new word. I even learned how to pronounce "pwns". Someone pwned by HRH must've created that one.

  6. When I was in High School, I had a love/hate affair with September. Generally Sept. 1 marked the opening of dove season, but it also meant going back to school. These days, since I ain't shot at an animal in nearly 40 years, September means cooler weather and that's something for which to be thankful.

    1. Yes indeed, Sage. The hottest month of the year is over. Thank goodness for that.
      Be well and enjoy.

  8. And for me, September 30 is International Blasphemy Day. There's also Burn a Confederate Flag Day on September 12. But mostly, like Sage, I'll be looking forward to the end of the hot weather.

If August was Sextilis, what's September? Septic?

    1. I like that, Infidel. Yes, we'll call September "septic." I couldn't find fun stuff about September like I could August. Seems I should've checked with you. I can't f*kn wait for Blasphemy Day.
      Cheers.

  10. I will go with Happy Cat month...now we need happy Dog month not just a day. As for punctuation...I heard on this early news show I watch, from Toronto, that the new kids do not end their sentence in a period when they text because they think it is insulting!

  11. I frequently get cold sores(which lasts for 5-6 days on my lips and its painful both physically and mentally) .. As a bodybuilder, I basically get outbreak due to the daily pressure and heat in the body.. Recently I stumbled upon my salvation. I found a herbal remedy to cure hsv completely, in just 4weeks ..

I got to know about Dr Utu after seeing a lady's testimony online. I reached the doctor and I ordered for herpes herbal medicine. He sent the herbs to me and I started making use of them. In just 2days, the cold sores are cleared. 4weeks after medication, I went to the hospital for test of cold sores and it was completely NEGATIVE.

By following every prescription, i was able to cure my cold sore in less than 4weeks. 100% natural herbs no after effect.
Note: Please do let others know if this work for you.
