This monstrous truck is ready for the Monster Truck Rally.
I can't help but wonder how the driver gets into the driver's seat. Private jet? I'm also unsure what a Monster Truck Rally involves, beyond monstrous trucks. Have you been to one?
DuPont is dressed for the Spring. I don't think he's going to the Rally. I kinda hope not. He looks too pretty.
Alas, love is in the air. These two little love-birds guard a lawn in a residential neighborhood. I snuck up behind them and took their picture.
Happy mid-April, Spring, Sunday, and new week!
Dupont is definitely looking spiffy! Too spiffy for Monster Trucking...
ReplyDeleteYour Spring is looking very summery! That monster truck seems a bit naked in the under-carriage - like a Scotsman without his kilt.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a monster truck rally, but we have plenty around here. What they do is go through mud and get all dirty so they can look cool later. And drive over beat-up cars. And pull big tractors and semi's to see who's got the biggest...truck. And pull fat women out of WalMart.
ReplyDeleteAt least the ones we have around here.
I am sure ready for Spring here. Not sure what happened to it. Today when I got up it was 34 degrees and I am about sick of it....
ReplyDeleteLove those Monster Trucks!!
I love the contrast between Du Pont and the monster truck Robyn, definitely puts me into a Spring mood haha which is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is a trampoline.
ReplyDeleteI really need to check out the local monster truck rally when it hits town
ReplyDeleteSo glad spring has arrived in your neck of the woods. Send it here.
ReplyDeleteDuPont's hat is lovely! The perfect spring accessory.
ReplyDeleteMonster truck rallies are incredible loud. If you have the ear plug concession, you would be rich.
Getting in that thing must be like mountain climbing, an getting out, bungie jumping.
ReplyDeleteNothing says spring like monster trucks and horses in drag. :P
ReplyDeleteWe've got another snowstorm coming, so no spring for us yet in Colorado. blah.
DuPont is ready for Spring! And I have wondered the same thing about those trucks -- does a rope ladder fall out?
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
:-)
Traci
That monster truck is ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I agree. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGB, I didn't get that close of a look. I was too scared.
ML, LOL. Your comment is priceless. Thank you!
MyJourney, I'll send some sun rays your way.
Yeamie, thanks.
John, good guess. I didn't think of that.
Adam, keep me posted if you do.
Retired, I just sent some first class. It should arrive within 2 days. Fingers crossed.
Pat, that would be hilarious if they bungee jumped out of it.
LG, so sorry. Hang in there and stay warm.
Traci, I may need to go to the Rally just to find out.
Alex, yeah, it's quite a sight.

ha ha I love the way Dupont is dressed. Classic.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have been to a Monster Truck Rally and it was pretty exciting. Our local fair (in San Diego)has a couple of rallies free with entrance to the fair.
Cute love birds, and oh my Dupont is so bright in that spring shift. I have never been to a monster truck rally, maybe if I had I would have an idea how they get inside those tall trucks. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Good thing those two guarding the lawn weren't naked!
ReplyDeleteWhat is spring? Chance for snow here later this week again.
ReplyDeleteI think the monster truck drivers keep ladders in the cab with them.
Ooh, or maybe they have rocket fueled jet packs to get up there.
Hey Robyn,
ReplyDeleteAh Chico. "Chico and the Man." This might surprise you, but I've been around a bit. Did that sound right...
Anyway, I have actually been to Chico on my adventures when I drove down from Vancouver, Canada in a 1964 Plymouth Valiant, push button automatic. You have brought back memories with your photos. I thank you. May the new week find you peaceful and positive.
Gary :)
stopping by from sunday in my city.

Wow your spring is looking very summery. I noticed a very vivid blue sky. Can you send some sunshine my way to ND please? LOL
Love Dupont's getup!
ReplyDeleteTraci, it's good to hear from someone who's been there and had a good time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nita. Have a great week yourself.
Al, I was kind of disappointed, but I guess it's best they weren't.
Ruth, rocket fueled jet packs? That's a great theory.
Gary, it doesn't surprise me that you've been around. ;-) I'm very impressed you've been to Chico, especially given your mode of transpo: a 64 Plymouth Valiant. Our town deserves no less. Or no more. Or something like that. Thank you.
Ria, sunshine's headed your way. It will be there by summer, if not sooner.
Yvonne, I think he loves it too.
xoRobyn
I have been to a monster truck rally. They race and pop wheelies and stuff. lol I can't remember how they get in the trucks though!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a monster truck rally, but I assume they crush things. Or maybe I just hope they do.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for comic effect, I'm assuming they get up there by climbing a ladder made up of little people all stacked on top of each other's shoulders. Again, or maybe I just hope they do.
love these pictures. That monster truck is cool!

The driver's use stilts to get into the truck. Every one knows that.
ReplyDeleteMy nephews would completely love that monster truck. I bet he needs the help of a sherpa to get up in there.
ReplyDeleteLol. That monster truck is pretty awesome. And DuPont looks lovely. I especially love the hat.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that Dupont looks kinda matronly to me. I don't know, but I just don't think that get-up is all that flattering.
