The Latest in Chocolate: Cocoa Pebbles Treats

This post kicks-off my new blog series, The Latest in Chocolate.

Granted I don't know how new  this product is. It does read "NEW!" on the box. Fred Flinstone's indulging, though, so the Cocoa Pebbles Treat likely originated back in the Stone Age.

I sampled it, for your benefit. Note that one Cocoa Pebbles Bar has only 6 grams of sugar (compared to 24-32 grams of sugar in a cup of standard yogurt), no high fructose corn syrup (compared to an excess of that stuff in most snacks) and only 90 calories. Plus it's gluten free.

Warning: You need a microscope to find it. These things always look bigger on the package. Thus I couldn't stop at one (or two). Regardless, it's a yummy, marshmallowy, chewy and crisp chocolate treat.

Rating: 8 out of 10.

P.S. Post isn't paying me to endorse this product, though they should.

Have a sweet Tuesday, and it's good to be back.

  5. I've bought them for the grandkids and tried them, though I seem to remember thinking they were a little bland. However, I do love Cocoa Pebbles.

  7. They named it after Fred's daughter, right? It looks very good - I think you should treat yourself to one whenever you write a new post.

  12. Post just might pay you or, at least, send you some freebies. Someone at Post probably searches the Internet for any mention of the company & could find your blog. (GM found mine.) Your new blog series might pay off – big time – in chocolate!
(This post kicked off something in my brain. I’m now saying over and over, "I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!")

  23. @Yeamie: You may be able to eat Cocoa Pebbles if you became an American, but then you'd have to deal with "The Jersey Shore."
Better to order them online and stay where it's safe.
