Dearest Sillies,
How are you, friends? Be of good cheer, please.
I've been working on this one for approximately 40 years, or so it seems. My heart breaks for Israel and the people, ALL of them, in that region, so this admittedly took more time than most of my poems. (Emotions both create and stall the art production process, right?) Otherwise, I'm enjoying life and singledom and all. Chocolate keeps me going. Plus occasional fantasies about Yul Brynner and...Moses.
Enjoy!
Wait, She Who Seeks, HRH got a great spot in this one too! How'd she do that?
I hope you can read the above. Will try for better next time, but this one is very looong. (She said "long." Yes she did.)
The situation over there is tragic. I see fault on both sides government wise, but feel for the people. I don't think we'll ever see peace in that region, at least not in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
I agree, Sandy. The hate is so scary as it translates into a hatred for millions and millions more people simply because of our names and/or faith based identification. Yet Israel, which I've been to, is incredibly and beautifully diverse.
DeleteTake good care.
Your last sentence says it all - and how I wish it could be a happening thing.
ReplyDeleteI believe it will, in many generations to come. For now, we can only keep working towards this and sharing the light. Thank you, EC.
DeleteMatzo, matzo man! "There's no time for it to rise." Plus a favourite spiritual -- "Go Down Moses." You've outdone yourself this time, Miss Thirsty Tart!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, HRH always manages to insinuate herself EVERYWHERE into EVERY SITUATION. She is the ultimate self-promoter.
Thank you so much, Debra. I amused myself with this one, though it took so long. When "Go down Moses" popped into my head, there was no stopping me. Haha.
DeleteHRH - sigh. Well, that's a nice photo of her and I'm glad she took the top left corner leaving Martha stuck in the middle somewhere.
Will lightning strike me for just reading that?
ReplyDeleteWar is a sad thing. So are the anti-Israel protests.
Thank you, Alex. May sound minds and open hearts prevail.
DeleteWell, if lightning hasn't struck you yet, being as you've been so loyal to Life by Chocolate for over a decade, I'd say you're immune. Most appreciated too.
No wonder he wandered for 40 years. He didn't want that to end.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, Mike. Those were 40 of my best years. Ha.
DeleteCheers and be well.
I like Alex's comment about lightning strikes.
ReplyDeleteOnly you Robin could make such a serious topic funny as hell. But the message is true - total freedom for everyone. Everybody, just - hands to yourself, mouth closed...oh, behave! (except at appropriate naughty bits time) Cheers and peace my friend.
Well, I shall keep exercising my freedoms, Joanne. That's what it's all about, right? Smiles, cheers and peace backatcha.
