In no particular order, I'm posting snapshots from Greece - each dedicated to one of you. My photography and camera are not great. But you were on my mind, so I hope that makes up for it. Here we go...
T-shirt logo for Captain Alex, The Great.
Janie, these are for you, but only when WDW is away. {We don't want him threatened by the one that's front and center. Surely, he has no reason to be.}
Ah, the cucumber -- the sweet, refreshing cucumber and various pickled items that enhanced every meal. Dedicated, naturally, to Pickleope Von Pickleope.
The little green car on the right is a "Polizei" car, for Momma Fargo.
Psst, Mitchell didn't tell me that he and San Geraldo would be in Greece. This picture is the evidence. It's obvious, right? He's the one on the right.Contest winner (see last post), and one of my most loyal bloggy friends, Elephant's Child, will receive a sweet package that I bought in Greece. EC posts wonderfully exotic sights including bird close-ups, kangaroos, uniquely colorful flowers, etc. She's as heartfelt and inspirational as they get. So I decided to dedicate this Grecian dove to EC.
More to follow.
Be safe, and take care, friends.
Megathanks.
ReplyDeleteThe Grecian dove is both elegant and more gentle than I can manage most days, but I do love it. Thank you.
It's an appropriate symbol of your essence, my friend. They flocked us on the rooftop (with bar and pool, quite a luxurious rooftop) of St. George Hotel in Athens. I was excited - had never seen a dove before.
DeleteOh, Greece! I'd love to go there some day! How wonderful for you -- were you on a cruise or did you do a land tour? These photos (and the dedications) are hilarious -- especially the one for Janie, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi, Deb. Would love to fill you in. If you ever wanna chat, feel free to message me. I went with a good friend on a tour (GoAhead Tours). It was an almost two week thing. Wish we had a bit more time. But everything and everyone was fabulous. Photo for you in upcoming posts.
DeleteHa! Oh, Robyn, I hope I look better than THAT from behind!
ReplyDeleteI assumed so, Mitchell, but I kept waiting and waiting and you didn't strip down any further. So I took the photo as such.
DeleteGreece is on my wishlist. What a great post and congrats to Elephant's Child!
ReplyDeleteI very highly recommend it, Blogoratti, and I hope you get to go someday. It's heavenly.
DeleteGreece! Now that is an awesome trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the catching the t-shirt for me. I really do need one of those. Maybe one for Mini-Alex.
I thought of Mini-Alex, too, but I didn't see one small enough for him.
DeleteWhat did you bring home from Greece? Oh, I brought home a souvenir artistic dildo. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know. There were all over the place, Diane. Yet I never saw anyone buy (or even look at) one. I was the only one giving them attention for the sake of this photo.
DeleteI hope we'll learn more about your trip to Greece. Funny photos.
ReplyDeleteHistorical details overwhelm me and got all mixed up in my brain, but I'll attach info as I can, Sage. I learned so much that made my mouth drop - civilizations thousands of years old, much more advanced that we are today...
Deletehaha you sure matched them up well. But who in the heck would buy a giant, useless umm wanker? Let's stick it on the end table. Doesn't it look so inviting? Pffft lol
ReplyDeleteHaha. Right? It isn't even battery operated. But that's Greece. The tour director warned us that we'd see everything. And we did.
Deletefun pics and comments. Glad Elephant Child won your Greece prize pack - she is everywhere with good comments and her blog is lovely. So glad YOU had fun
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne. Stay tuned for something for you. You are everywhere with good comments too.
DeleteI think it's notable that the dildos and cucumbers are in adjacent pictures. I've heard stories about those Greeks.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch, Jono. I didn't even think of that - not consciously.
DeleteOh my gosh you went to Greece! What an amazing trip. I'm looking forward to more posts about this.
ReplyDeleteMore to follow, Martha. Thank you.
DeleteI feel sorry for Alexander's kid brother, "Stavros the So-So."
ReplyDeleteHa! Good point, Al.
DeleteAnd the third kid: "Thirodeon, the Unwelcome Surprise."
Cocks? I get cocks? Well, fuck me. Yeah! Fuck me! I assume the phallus is a tribute to Hermes (yes, I studied Greek mythology).
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I forgot all the names I learned, but the phallus is a tribute to both Hermes and the Great WDW. F*ck you, my friend. Woohoo!
DeleteLove.
Woohoo back at you!
DeleteHow come I didn't win anything?
ReplyDeleteBecause you were too busy looking for Carmen Santiego, and then you copied off of Janie's answer sheet. I'm onto students like you. You act sweet and innocent, and you get by with B+'s, but you're the sneakiest of all. Silly fishducky.
DeleteCheers.
Fishducky, you won the lottery a long time ago when you married Bud and had those great kids and grandkids.
DeleteLove.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Regine.
DeleteLove.
I look forward to seeing more photos of your adventure.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty more.
DeleteThank you, Geo.
Friends, no worries (as of now). Wildfires throughout the state, unforgiving winds - it's very scary, but I'm fine.
ReplyDeleteBe safe too.
Happy to know you're safe and sound, Robyn. Your trip sounds amazing. I wish I had made it there when I lived in Europe. Wah!! Love you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week!
Elsie
Open your beer and have an orgasm.
ReplyDeleteThe things you find on holiday.
Great place to visit. Glad you had fun there.
xo
Oh my gosh, I just saw my sister's Christmas gift hanging there!!
ReplyDeleteI really likes your blog! You have shared the whole concept really well and very beautifully soulful read!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
