Dearest Sillies,
I've not been to Ireland. Have you? It looks spectacularly green and pretty, though I'd bypass the bar scene. At any rate, have a very happy and lucky week. Don't overdo it. I suspect you won't. You're too smart for that.
If anyone named Charlie or Chuck reads this, apologies. It's not personal. Your name is oh so rhyme worthy, though.
Love you, my loves.

May you find the shillelagh of your dreams to polish! And a pot of gold!
ReplyDeleteI quite like your clever comments and shall continue the hunt for said shillelagh. Thank you, SWS. Happy St. Pat's!
DeleteShillelagh in the comments! Slainte!
DeleteWell perhaps next year. I did say that last year too, didn't I? Sorry.
DeleteA four leaf clover to hold.
ReplyDeleteIt's worth its weight in gold.
Especially one long bar that will unfold
When it finds that moist, love pudding waiting to be told
How I'd love to kiss that Blarney Stone of old.
Your beautiful quivering has me sold.
Meh..it tried:) Happy Oscar Day
That's impressive, Birgit! "moist love pudding" - oh, to taste of this any time soon, any time at all. Thank you.
DeleteHappy Oscar Day. I didn't know, but now I know whose blog to visit for the recap.
Because Chuck rhymes with...?
ReplyDeleteI have been to Ireland! Be prepared, they might have more pubs than people.
Chuck rhymes with cluck, Alex. And stuck and tuck and...oh, no.
DeleteI think Chico's trying to compete with Ireland for more bars than people. I'm not loving it.
And fu....ohhhh, you almost got me.
DeleteHahaha! So close!
DeleteNot a single mention of a shillelagh. Tis a pity, Lass.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen one in quite a while, Al. So the shillelagh was not in mind. Drats. Perhaps I'll get lucky with one in the not too distant future.
DeleteFunnier than green beer, which really looks disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI hope to visit Ireland. One of DLP's authors lives in Dublin and I'm pretty sure he would give us an extensive pub tour.
That would be so fun. I'd love to see photos and read the stories.
DeleteI'm sure my ancestors had a good reason to leave Ireland so I don't see any reason to go back! 😆
ReplyDeleteYes, twasn't always a peacefully lucky life there. Plus we have plenty of pubs in the States, Mike.
DeleteI am late to comment. Funny as usual. My green eyes are smiling, lassie.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. Keep smiling with ye eyes and mouth.
