Almost Paradise, Sundays in My City

Thanks to UnknownMami, I'm back with photos for Sundays in My City. Visit her site here and tour the world.

Welcome to Northern, Northern California. Today, I take you to the edge of Paradise with roses and chocolate. I hope the sights, scents and tastes are to your liking.

We're in Chico, 8 miles from Paradise.
This garden is one of my havens.

My drink: a chocolate chai frost freeze from T. Fusion. Heaven in a cup. Best yet, this one was free. (Tenth one's free. This was my tenth in six months. Well, there were more but I only remembered to get my card stamped nine times.) Try it. No, not mine. Go buy your own. Sorry, I'm possessive about my chocolate. You'll want your own anyway.

Have a lovely, yummy Sunday and new week! xo Robyn

  3. That chocolate looks quite milky, Robyn. I hope you'll acquire a taste for the dark stuff, which is good for you!

  6. Nice Sunday post. I happen to be very fond of roses, had roses in California. Now that we are in Nebraska, I am adjusting to different weather and learning what to plant here. If I could have that yellow rose plant here I would love it.
There are no coffee places in our little city but your chocolate drink looks delicious.

  7. Those are some big roses! And that drink sure looks good. I like it that you seek out the good in your new place Robyn. So many people always look for what is wrong about a place. I always believe that life and home is what and where you make it!~Ames

  8. What an exquisite garden! I could sit among your flowers for hours. You'd probably want to kick me out. ;)

That frozen chocolate chai looks yummo. Unfortunately here in Chi town there is no T Fusion. :( I do however, love the frozen mochas at Caribou Coffee and the green tea frappuchinos at Starbuck's.

  14. Thank you, sweet people.

Roses are my favorite. Oh, and the chocolate chai, sorry for being such a teaser. My expanding belly's telling me I should start to share. We know I won't, though.

Julie, Joseph's coat is a great name for that rose. Thanks for the info.

    MsA, glad you like it.

TechnoBabe, sorry for the lack of roses and coffee places. I'm sure there are other enjoyable sights and tastes to make up for it. Thanks for visiting.

GB, I really need to go to the dark side more.

Melissa, you're welcome anytime. I also love the green tea fraps at Starbuck's, even though they are without cocoa.

    Happy new week!

  20. The roses are very pretty but that chocolate looks amazing. I can't believe you've only had ten in the last six months even accounting for the odd card-stamp-forgetfulness!

    Jennifer Fab, it really is.

Marlene, LOL. At least drooling might mean losing vs gaining calories.

Terra, yes, brownies make for a good start to the week.

    Meri, thanks so much.

Julie, have a great week too. Thanks.

Myrelish, frozen drinks make the heat manageable.

Rosalind, I do tend to think about them daily.

    Alex, no coffee in it.

Beth, home made fudge is pretty divine.

    Renee, does he miss Paradise?

Kelly, I'm glad you can catch the scent from there.

Thanks Yvonne and anyone I missed.
