city mascot DuPont quickly changed out of his Mother's Day garb...
into his cap and gown. Congratulations, DuPont!
He finished first (and last) in his class (of one).
His
future's so bright...well, I'll stop now. Suffice it to say, we locals
couldn't be more proud.

Congratulations to all the graduates!
Thank you for visiting, and have a wonderfully picturesque week.
Dupont is the most convincing cross-dresser since Danny La Rue. How lovely to see him get his degree, presumably in Transgender Studies. Has anyone ever ridden him?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Dupont! Hopefully you don't find him trashed in a hotel room with a human tomorrow morning...
ReplyDeleteWell, congratulations to Dupont! I always knew he'd be a success. :) Beautiful rose! Wow!
ReplyDeleteso who does all the costume changes on Dupont? I love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the grad garb on Dupont! Better than the pink. Sunglasses a great accessory.
ReplyDeleteDupont has more outfits than I do.
ReplyDeleteAnd that flower is a beauty:)
Oh DuPont! You are such a card!
ReplyDeleteFirst and last, wow that is a feat. He'll be running nude down the street lol
ReplyDeleteDupont certainly dressed for the occasions.
ReplyDeleteDupont, the world is yours for the taking.
ReplyDeleteGB, as far as I know, nobody has ridden him and lived to tell about it.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Alex. That news would shake up this town. Or maybe not. That kind of thing probably happens a lot around here; I just don't hear about it.
Daisy, he's ambitious. It finally paid off.
JoJo, the owners of The Horse Store and More --very nice folks-- do all the costume changes. DuPont makes the requests and they jump on it.
DG, I agree. He looks more reliable in grad garb, somehow.
Robin, as MsAnthropy pointed out, he's a clothes horse.
Debra, he tries.
Pat, and then he'll trot and stop for a photo opp.
Retired, he's reliable that way.
LDiane, there's nothing to stop him now. Well, except the wooden platform he's nailed to.
Cheers, all.
Keep a smile and a stash of chocolate.

Congratulations to Dupont. And I am grateful that he/she didn't fancy nibbling on that rose.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! I love that you guys have something like this to bring your community together. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's fun. I used to work for Du Pont, the company not the horse.
ReplyDeleteMy congratulations to Dupont. He sure is a handsome dude and his sense of style is impeccable :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a similar statue down this way at Cardiff. It's called The Kook, and people dress it up to celebrate the holidays. It's....kooky!
ReplyDeleteAny story behind the name Dupont?
ReplyDeleteThey change the lions in front of the Art Institute to the current winning sports team in Chicago.
I'm glad DuPont graduated. Who did he take to the prom? I hope he didn't eat her corsage.
ReplyDeleteDupont looks like a real stud in his grad gear!
ReplyDeleteI have another baby graduating this year. Oh my.
ReplyDeletePhysically I graduated years ago. Mentally I'm still awaiting this magical ascent into adulthood.
ReplyDeleteBeer guys, aren't we all?
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, sorry. That must be such a mixed experience.
Stephen, I think he wanted to take Mr. Ed to the prom, but learned that Mr. Ed is, well, dead. He stayed home and watched TV.
Bill, I think there's a story. I'll have to talk with folks and find out. Excellent question. Sorry I don't have an answer now.
Cheers, my friends.

I can't believe another school year is soon ending! Dupont looks great. Congrats to all the graduates this year!! May you all dance into the future with a bright song in your heart ready to positively contribute to your communities and society. Cheers!!
ReplyDeleteDupont rocks! And the rose picture is beautiful, too, but . . . well, it just can't compete with a graduating horse.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wardrobe that horse has!
ReplyDeleteI love me some Du Pont.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. DuPont is awesome. His wardrobe is definitely awesome. That rose is beautiful!!
