Sundays in My City, Paradise

Hi, friends. As you know, Unknown Mami hosts an extraordinary weekly party. Visit her site here to appreciate scenes from across the globe. Hopping from city to city always leaves me feeling privileged to be in blogland.

"It's not too far from Paradise,

...at least it's not for me." -from Sailing by Christopher Cross

Photos taken at Paradise Lake, Paradise, CA.

Thanks for visiting.
I hope that, for you too, it's not too far from Paradise.
Have a great new week.

  1. Chris Cross... love him. Hasn't been paradise around here, too much rain... but it's keeping the temps bearable. That's a good thing!

  2. The pictures keep getting more idyllic, although I prefer a lake to have ducks in it. It gives me someone to talk to.

  3. When I saw the middle picture the first thing that came to my mind was fishing for small mouth bass. That place definitely looks inviting.

I can envision a get together with friends and family around that lake, sipping some wine, roasting some marshmallows and telling ghost stories.

    Fun!

  4. That does look like a place I could call paradise too, just beautiful.

  5. I think I know why this place is known as paradise Robyn, these photos are incredibly beautiful, I can't think of anything in Ireland that's as beautiful looking as this place seems, this is one of the reasons why I always regard California as one of the prettiest places in the world.

  11. Thanks everyone. I am lucky to have paradise so closeby.

MsA and Yvonne, I love Christopher Cross too. That song is one of my favorites.

GB, it was strangely, peacefully quiet.

Jeremy, yes, there's tons of fishing in that Lake. It's very odd that we didn't see any boats or fisherpeople.

    Del, thanks. I agree.

YW, CA's weather and landscape are awesome. I wouldn't mind swapping homes for a week or so, though. I hear Ireland's pretty great too.

Alex, sorry. Humidity is really miserable.

Wayne, yes. I needed it and figured my blog friends do too.

Tara, Laurie, and Heather, thank you. It couldn't be more aptly named. I wish I could put the pine air into this post too.

  14. Sure likes paradise to me... although anywhere with sunshine and summer would be paradise for me at the moment.

  16. I love living in Paradise and yes, there are fish in the lake. Ask the bear that swims there. Paradise Post printed a photo of the wet bruin.

  17. Drats. To the last woman who commented - a neighbor (in Chico), I didn't mean to delete your message. Some weirdo left a bizarre comment and I accidentally deleted both. Sorry. I couldn't find your blog because your profile isn't accessible.

To everyone else, thank you. I hope you're having a great week.

  19. Miami reminds me of our Gold Coast here in Australia. Being a huge Dexter fan, I'm becoming quite fond of Miami :)

  22. That Paradise Lake could be my Lake Wazeecha. Who knew part of Cali could look so much like part of Wisconsin!?!?!
