May this post find you smiling about something, anything.
And now, I'll bring back some photos from Bali.
Can you believe this voluptuous woman was once a tree? Incredible artists, those Balinese wood carvers. Debra and your Rare One, this one's for you. I just thought you'd appreciate it as much as I do. Or more.
Young, talented dancers. Holli, for you, for the love of dance.
For our dear friend, Janie Junebug. The quote behind me: "If we never stress, then we will never succeed."
I'll stop here.
Take good care of YOU!
Til next time.
Good thing there weren't any knots on that tree. Was it a hardwood?
ReplyDeleteHaha. I imagine that wood was extremely hard. Don't you?
DeleteThanks, Alex.
I read 'incredible artists' as 'incredible tits' and I thought to myself: yes, yes they are.
ReplyDeleteI have never wanted to grope wood before, until now.
For a father, you sure have a dirty mind. That's why I like you, PTM. And I kinda wanted to grope that wood myself.
DeleteThis comment reminds me of the statue-groping scene in Blazing Saddles.
DeleteThough I didn't see that movie, my perverse brain is very happy with the visual.
DeleteWatch from 1:35-1:55: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDm3zCvN4ao
DeleteLove your eye for the quirky and your dedications.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your saying that, EC.
DeleteKeep a smile.
Well then ... I should be a brilliant success!
ReplyDeleteYeah, um, maybe I need to re-think the validity of that quote. =)
DeleteThanks, Mitchell.
Thank you, Robyn! We have printed the photo, blown it up to poster size and hung it on the bedroom wall for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI wish MY boobs were still that perky, LOL!
Perfect, Debra! May the inspiration begin!
DeleteMy boobs were never that perky. Damn. Those are glorious. I wonder who modeled for it. I'm envious.
Stress equals success? Why am I not more successful then? LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, there doesn't quite seem to be a direct correlation, does there?
Deleteawwww Sweet friend, i'm so flattered you thought of me. I do love all things about Dance and these little dancers are just too precious.
ReplyDeleteMy stress right about now is crippling but in 2 days, i'll have a reprieve. Yay!
You're almost there, my friend. Get those dance shoes ready.
Deleteyour smile in the pic shows such joy and no stress. Let's keep smiling and fail at success. Sunny day here. Cheers to almost the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou're sweet, Joanne. Thank you. Your words always make me feel good. And yes, forget about success. Let's keep smiling while eating chocolate.
DeleteHappy (almost) Friday and weekend!
The young dancers are so sweet, and I love their colorful clothes. Your beautiful smile lights up your whole page here.
ReplyDeleteTheir dancing was really mature and impressive, Connie.
DeleteAww, thanks for complimenting my smile. I was truly happy and relaxed in Bali. I still have reasons to smile, of course, but being in such a haven made smiling my default.
HAHA! I always love your quirky posts. They do indeed make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteYay. I'm glad. If I'm made one person smile, it was a good day.
DeleteBe well, Martha.
Did you climb a volcano (or am I the only one who travels to Indonesia to climb volcanoes?).
ReplyDeletewww.thepulpitandthepen.com
I didn't do anything that adventuresome. I met a couple that did, though. They got up at 4am or so and climbed a volcano during a forceful storm, the land falling out under their feet. They're Canadians, and glad to have that story to go home with.
DeleteWell I never thought wood could cause wood before but...
ReplyDeleteHaha. You haven't lost it, Pat. Good one!
DeleteYou look awesome and it sounds like you're having a wonderful time. Love the quote, the dancers and the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandy. It was a fabulous excursion.
DeleteBe well.
That wooden carving....
ReplyDeleteBy the way, happy belated Passover.
I still think the "Ten Commandments" is a Passover flick.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
Don't mistake the Ten Commandments with the original ones written by Monte Python, Al.
DeleteLoved the post AND the first two comments. Your audience is in tune. LOL
ReplyDeleteI am so lucky for the best of the silliest of peeps here, LD. Glad you approve and are amongst 'em.
DeleteThank you.
