Royal Tea and Sneak Peek

Hi, My Sillies,
Everybody's talking about it - the Royal Wedding. Her Royal Highness got the inside story and semi-scandalous pictures for us, Janie Junebug delivered interesting and hilarious fun facts, and here's my favorite photo from the entire event. It begs for captions, because the 96 year old King appears to be feeling rather amorous towards his 92 year old wife. Don't ya think?
"What do you say we partake in a scuffle brew biscuit-pussycat Yorkshire atop tonight, my sweet? The British are due to be coming! Yes?" *Wink. Gaze.*
"You stay away from my chastity belt, dirty old man. That's saved for my beloved horse Sir Loin, dead you know."  Oh, that's gross. I'm sorry, but who knew she was so perverted? Certainly not I.

I happened to be awake at the time of the wedding. Really. I didn't plan it. (I actually had a sudden worry related to my book, but that's been worked out.) Anyway, I caught glimpses of the beautiful bride and her fabulously charming husband. Then I went back to sleep.
In dreamland, I had Royal Tea with the Duchess, Meghan Markle herself. She was very sweet and warm, folks. It's not an act! She smiled at me, though we didn't have time to talk. But I was in! I was the envy of all, because I got to meet her. But then I was lost in a shopping mall with ritzy stores, taking all sorts of elevators, escalators and stairs, to find my way out back to the hotel. Next thing in front of me was a state map of...Washington. Hm. How'd I get there?
At any rate, I awoke with a warm and cozy feeling. Thank you for the tea, Princess Meghan. It was an honor. You're as beautiful as you seem. You got a cute husband too.

Now for some final clues and Sneak Peeking, my soon-to-be latest. Rules in previous posts. Join the fun. It's not too late.

Hint #5: It's political satire.

What word is missing from the story's first line?  From _ _ _ _ _ _ arose a King.

    Hint #6, the back cover.
What's the title?

Have fun. Play along.
Be well and take care of your silly selves.

  1. I don't know what the missing word is, but I've been giving all these clues some thought. Is your book based on the story of The Emperor's New Clothes, and is it starring Donald Trump? The picture of the Queen made me laugh.

  2. Both my brain cells are tired this morning and I am clueless. I really, really hope that the Trumpster doesn't have a starring role in your book, and am glad you were able to sort the bookie glitch out.

    1. Thank you, Pat. I appreciate the praise, especially from you.
Yeah, who'd have thought Viagra still kicks in when approaching 100. This should give all men some hope.

  4. Am I the only one who didn't really care about the royal wedding? I have nothing against the couple, but I don't particularly care, either.

    1. Ha. Yes you are. Well, no. I know a few men who didn't watch. I don't know any women who didn't though.

    2. Not alone at all. And last time I looked I was a woman. I didn't watch and I don't care (while also wishing them well).

    3. He's not the only one! I couldn't wait until lunchtime when it was over and they would stop talking about it. I was actually more interested in The Preakness and watched that. And I'm really not even into horse racing.

    4. Haha. Silver Fox, I hope some of my/our friends have made you feel better. You aren't alone. And I wouldn't have watched had I not been conveniently awake at that hour.

  5. Voldemort looks quite lecherous. I have no idea what the missing word is. Thanks for mentioning my post.

    Love,

  6. I think the missing words are: "From THE SWAMP arose a King." And I must say, I loved the Queen's fake quotation about getting "brown Queen's speech" before giving a statement. LOL!

The photo of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip made me remember the first dirty joke my mother ever told me --

Q: What did Elizabeth say to Philip on their wedding night?
    A: "Mount, batten!"

Well, I didn't say it was a GOOD joke.

    1. Ha! Your mom passed down her wit. I love it - not so much the joke as the fact that she shared it with you, Debra.

    1. Certainly, HRH. You're most worthy.

Yes, the Queen does appear frigid. But the King looks determined, so let's hope he got a piece that night.

Ta ta, and thanks for stopping by. Always honored by your presence.

  8. From the Uterus rose the king? No?? Sorry I couldn’t help myself and I have no clue but looking forward to it. I had to laugh at the Queen. I woke when they were in front of the alter and the priest was talking. When they showed the Queen I al ost fell off my chair because she looked like she was at some funeral and Prince Phillip looked like he was looking at a fly. When that minister was talking for 14 min about love, Meghan was happy listening, Harry was happy Meghan was happy. Her mom was right into it, the Queen was ...not happy, the ugly step sisters was snickering and Princess Anne’s daughter made me laugh out loud...she was just sitting t(wife in shock with her mouth open...hahahaaaa.

    1. Most funny to me, Birgit, was a shot of Camila, flipping through the pages/papers in her hands - thinking "Good God, how much longer of this drudgery?" As always, I'm entertained by your comment. Uterus is a great guess. Smiles.

    1. She really does. Reports otherwise are so stupidly written, they're completely transparent. That is, some women are jealous and mean. But not us. We're jealous and nice. That's why I like gals like us, Elizabeth. Smiles.

  10. How about Patterson, New Jersey to fill in the blank? I was hoping the Duke of Ellington or the Count of Basie would do the musical interlude. I also think Prince Phillip wants to poke fun at the Queen, but she doesn't like fun.

  12. Glad you worked out the problems with your book, but sorry it was at such a nasty hour. I didn't watch the wedding, but have enjoyed the pictures I've seen. Good looking couple, she has a warm smile and they both seem so down to earth. LOVED her dress. What to make of your picture above. When I first saw it in a group of pics I wondered what The Queen was mad about, and it looked like he was looking past her to someone on the other side of her? How lovely you had tea with the new bride. Shall I ask for your autograph? lol

    1. Yeah, he's trying to flirt with someone younger. She's peeved about it. I didn't think that'd be respectful to express, though, since they are royalty.

      Thanks, Sandy.
