Mystery Box of Awesomeness from the Awesome Duo at A Beer for the Shower!

Brandon Meyers and Bryan Pedas of A Beer for the Shower, the duo that defines awesomeness through their every deed and creation, held a contest. I entered this artwork plus $1.32. It's all I could afford as bribery. It worked! I'd also read and reviewed Graveyard Shift and Demetri, exceptional books; their others top my "purchase and read stat" list. Anyway, I WON a Mystery Box of Awesomeness!
Days ago, stagehand Macaulay landed in the Mystery Box. I geared up*, as rumors swirled about its contents having included asbestos and, worse, cat hairs.
I broke it open, and Culkin had already attacked the divine Lindt chocolates. Thus, his spontaneous obesity.
I uncovered a signed original piece, TUCK WATLEY. I devoured it - never laughed so uncontrollably in response to anything I've read. Note: I already won; I've no need to suck up again.
You can't notice due to my desire to look pretty in bubble wrap, but I'm holding the classic mirror from the cover of Graveyard Shift.
Stay tuned for a review of Young's Double Chocolate Stout!

I'm excited to shower with Porter's Vanilla Beer Soap!

Next, a computer link sent me to this awesome graphic. Their business card at the bottom had the link on its back.
I'm an ecstatic winner of B&B's Mystery Box, packed very thoughtfully with awesomeness to its full extent.
Thank you guys! You have my love and admiration, always.
*Also, thanks to the fine folks at Wittmeier Collision Center in Chico for donating all the colorful bubble wrap for this venture, and to my roommate for the expert photography and costume assistance.
Lastly, if you're jealous, forward $1.32 to B&B, and better luck next time.
Happy Friday and have a peaceful weekend, everyone.

  2. I knew it! I knew you paid them off. Great job! I'll have to scrape the bottom of my purse for loose change the next time they host a contest, too.

  3. Now that is crazy fun awesomeness. Too fun and funny. You are a winner, for sure.

  4. Congratulations. It sounds like a great prize. I'd be happy with just the bubble wrap.

  7. Hilarious and congratulations! And let me be the first to say you look awesome in bubble wrap.

  8. First of all, you MUST wear that divine bubblewrap ensemble on your next date! If that doesn't help snag Mr Right, I don't know what will. Second of all, congrats on your win! I see the ABftS Boys have completely taken you in with their "Hot & Straight" act. Don't believe it for a minute. Their wife and fiancée are well known beards-for-hire.

  9. That's a fabulous prize! It's so great that all those gifts came in one innocent looking box. I hope after you unwrapped the presents you managed to unwrap yourself. ;)

  10. Lol you sure make bubblewrap work for you. Congrats, who knew 1.32 could go so far.

  11. CW, I don't need to tell you how I read "you made out", do I? I did make out, though, and it was really good for me.

Farawayeyes, you're probably more likely to win if you move the decimal to the right in 1.32.

Stephen, I'm happy to send you recycled, sweaty bubble wrap.

    Thank you, Joanne and EC!

    Martha, yes, crazy fun goodies.

Alex, why thank you. Since you say so, I'll wear it out on the town this weekend.

Deb, that's hilarious. Wait, you're kidding right? I won't have rugged beards-for-hire coming after me, will I?

Lexa, it wasn't easy, but I made my escape.

Pat, I know. Right? Best investment of my life!

    Cheers, all.
    Keep a smile.

  12. Well, look at you. All fancy in your bubble wrap winnings. Kathy Bates made the plastic wrap look hot in Fried Green Tomatoes. You could start a new sexy bubble wrap trend ;)

  13. I am thinking about that Alan Partridge zombie with a shower curtain sketch for some reason - unnerving..

  14. OH, you are, what is it Pearl told me the other day?
Totes adorbs!! Have fun with your prizes!!

  15. Judging by the pictures, they could have sent you a box filled with bubble wrap and you would have been just as ecstatic.
I was jealous that I didn't win, but your enthusiasm means they definitely chose the right person to win.

  16. Congrats on your win. That was a box of awesomeness, and the bubble wrap was just the right touch for pics, lolol!! Have a great weekend. :)

  17. This may be the single greatest unboxing I've ever seen. Forget the $1.32, we'd have let you win on this post alone.

And we'd like to comment on how cute you look in that bubble wrap, but our beards-for-hire say not to push our luck.

  18. With an online name like "A Beer for the Shower," you knew it had to be awesome!

  19. Stephanie, I knew it was going to be awesome. But I'm surprised by how much thought they put into every part of it.

B&B, kisses to you and your beards-for-hire. Please tell them, no worries. I mean, LOOK AT ME. I'm wearing the most full-proof invention to assure abstinence since the chastity belt.

    Thanks, sillies.
    Keep a smile, all.

  21. Had I known that for a mere $1.50 I'd have been in the running.... well, let's just say I am storing that information away for later.

  22. You're really rockin' that bubble wrap. Just wait until the first guy offers to pop you . . .

Those are some seriously cool prizes. I'm so glad you let us see them! Now you can be the envy of all.

  23. What better way to work off indulging in the finest chocolates, while looking absolutely stunning in the process! Congrats on the big win, Robyn! You should be the Brew Girl assisting the Beer Wonders in fighting wine!

  24. Well done on having the capital to bribe your way to the top of a contest.

I'm just kidding. That box does look pretty awesome. Perhaps I could bribe you to transcribe that short story!

    ReplyDelete
  25. You revealed our secret! Now everyone's going to bribe them the next time a contest comes around. I'll have to dig into my savings if I stand a chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You think that bubble wrap would make my butt look big?

Excellent prize package! Well worth the bribes to win :)

  27. Congrats on your awesome, bubble-wrapped win :)

  28. Addman, that short story (one chapter of a longer story) is priceless. I can't wait til it's released. They're sure to have huge success with it. Try offering them $1.33, maybe? Thanks for the follow!

Chiz, I know. I'm sorry I ruined our chances for next time - unless we start saving now. Got 32 cents I can borrow?

Haha, Elizabeth, yeah. I didn't show my backside in bubble wrap due to the same concerns.

    Hugs, silly people.

  29. You sure know how to celebrate, Robyn! The dishevelled hairstyle complements the theme of wild abandonment. All you needed was a horny-handed fellow to pop all those bubbles on you!

  30. Dangit! You outbribed me. I sent in $1.31. So close, so close! What a great swag bag, um box.

The Beer Boys outdid themselves. I thought the bubble wrap was from them. haha!

  31. Neat box. Looks like it really is filled with awesomeness.

  32. Haha you're mad.

Youre the Box of Awesomeness! lol
The beer guys look suspiciously like the Catfish guys! lol

Stout, *shudder* good luck with that! lol

  33. Lol! That is an awesome package. You totally deserved the win.

  34. P.S. I love the outfit. I might have to steal that idea the next time Hubby and I go out on a hot date. ;)
