Hi My Dear Sillies,
It's time for more chocolate. When is it not?
I met this lovely woman at our Saturday Farmer's Market. Megan makes remarkably tasty and artistically divine forms of chocolate - in a healthy way and catered to your individual needs. There's no refined sugar. Maple syrup is healthier and - heck - yummier. But she'll substitute that for mango or date sugars (even healthier!), or whatever you request. Megan doesn't temper her chocolate, so you appreciate its rich essence immediately. You can practically taste the chocolate upon first sniff.
You can find and follow chocolates.by.megan on Instagram or Facebook (unsolicited endorsement. She's worthy!)
I sampled this pistachio bar, which has a lovely green ice creamy inside. Mmm. Divine. My only minor critique is that it's a bit too salty on the outside for me. But I'm a sweet, not salty gal.
I give it a 9+ out of 10.
What treats have been on your plate or palate as of late?
Keep it silly, my dears. Keep it silly.
Much love!
I bought some double chocolate muffins at Safeway today but they are nowhere near as decadent as Megan's chocolates, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI've had those double chocolate muffins, Deb, and you are correct.
DeleteYou must have thought you'd died and gone to heaven when you saw her booth.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I told her I'd been thinking about needing to try some chocolate product for my blog, and there she was.
DeleteThanks Mike.
Contrary to popular opinion I don't think that salt belongs with either chocolate or caramel. I am with you on that one but love that you found another source of delicious, decadent chocolate.
ReplyDeleteYes, EC! Pretzels or popcorn but not chocolate or caramel. Thank you for concurring.
DeleteHere is the most recent treat on my palate. Yesterday the South Asian community in Kitchener put on a wonderful festival centred around food. I picked up a plate of little dumplings with a spicy hot sauce and they were delicious!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a royal meal to me. Dumplings with a kick. Yum. Glad you enjoyed the festival and its exotic eats, David.
DeleteI love the salty with the chocolate so probably would have really enjoy your piece. I'm really not much of a chocolate fan, but like the offset of sweet and salty.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
You're not alone in your preference for sweet-salty, Sandy. It's a good combination - just a bit much for me.
DeleteCheers.
I would eat that salty and all! Cool she sweetens with natural ingredients.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you'd love it, Alex.
DeleteThanks for chiming in.
There's always time for chocolate. In fact, I had a chocolate cannoli for dessert!
ReplyDeleteChocolate cannoli? Oh my. Now I'll be on the lookout of one of those.
DeleteCheers, Al.
