The Latest in Chocolate & Impersonating The Burger King

Imagine a peanut butter & jelly chocolate sandwich. This one is the most heavenly PB&J I've ever had. With just the right amounts of peanut butter and jelly, combined with nature's sweetest miracle (cocoa), it's full of "Mmmmm this is soooo good". My only complaints are that it's too small and, well, not all that healthy.  Still, it far exceeds the delight of consuming a regular PB&J sandwich.

I give Trader Joe's PB&J Milk Chocolate Bar an 8.

Note: Trader Joe's is not compensating me in any way for advertising their products. In fact, I have yet to win their raffle, which I've been entering for 2 years. Yet I'm loyal, give them free advertising, smile at the checkers, bring in my own bags...What more could they want? TJs, choose my name already!

On another fun note, I'm performing today at Powdered Toast Man's blog.  I did my best to impersonate The Burger King, competing against Jared of Subway fame, in Powdered Toast Man's hilarious battle of the cereal mascots. Do not go here for enlightenment.

Cheers, and happy Monday.
Don't forget to laugh and eat chocolate, in the reverse order.

  1. I like peanut butter and jelly!
And you were awesome as Burger King. Just the right amount of creepiness.

  2. Sure Jared doesn't stand a chance and hmm quite the mixture, not sure it sounds too appetizing though.

  3. Haha. I am a weirdo. ONLY peanut butter..no jelly, no chocolate on my sandwiches, thus...the PEANUT BUTTER sandwich. LOL. Off to see The Burger King.

  4. Can you possibly send me like 23 more PB&J chocolate bars? My doctor says I have a difficiency.

  5. First time I tried to comment, Blogger went numb. So, here's my second attempt.

Couldn't you just add Nutello to a regular PBJ sandwich to get the same effect? (If they added some more protein, they could call it an energy bar). Don't mention the calories.

  6. I've successfully walked by those many times at TJ's. Now I might have to pick one up!

  7. This sounds hard to resist. And why should I. I'm mentally planning my next trip to Trader Joes.

  8. Alex, you'll like this even more. And it's a bit creepy that I've got the creep factor down.

Pat, Jared's pretty hopeful about this win. But I'm hoping the King will take the crown.

Momma, really? Well, I'm a weirdo too. I spoon peanut butter all the time. Just peanut butter is darn good.

PTM, sure I'll buy some more. If there's any left by the time I get home, I'll send them to you. I promise.

DG, sorry blogger's a booger. You could do that recipe, but I'll remove the bread. It distracts from the other flavors. I LOVE nutella!

Johanna, sorry to be a bad influence. You can thank me later.

Stephen, see above. Hope you enjoy it.

  9. How could anything containing peanuts not be healthy? I've never found out what kind of jelly you're supposed to eat with peanut butter. Is it what children eat at birthday parties?

  10. That does indeed sound hard to resist. I believe Nutella would be a good choice.

  11. I don't care about healthy when it comes to chocolate. Generally if something tastes good, it isn't healthy and visa versa. Will check you out at the other blog.

PS I'm not being snarky, just honest. I am not sure if I fit in here or that you want me to continue to comment. Although I comment on your posts even when I don't post myself, I rarely see you on my blog. I do wish you the best.

  12. YUM! I love peanut better and jelly! I was just at TJ's a few days ago. Now we are in the desert and probably at least a hundred miles from the closest one... Drats!

Great job in the interview! It was a good one...

  13. I really like the idea of mixing all three of these phenomenons together Robyn, sounds incredibly delicious to me, hopefully you win one of those raffles at some point.

  14. We have a Trader Joe's in Raleigh. I'll get one for my husband since I don't eat chocolate.

  15. As long as I can have a Diet Coke, I'm probably good to go.
But...a Peanut Butter and Jelly candy bar!
Golly, you Californians are so avant garde.

  16. That didn't sounds healthy as I was reading it but it sure sounds gooood.

Gotta go see what you're up to at PTM's world of the weird....

  17. Sorry, I'm a chocolate purist. I don't want it befouled by peanut butter, nuts, or PB & J, are you mad? (Although I CAN compromise with ice cream and whipped cream as a sundae.)

Tell you what - I'll take the smooth, and you can have the mixed stuff.

  18. It's a good thing we do not have Trader Joes in Oklahoma! My diet would be in imminent peril!

  19. This design is wicked! You most certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. buy runescape accounts I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

  20. GB, you are right. Peanuts have protein. This choco bar has rasberry jelly. Grape or strawberry also work with PB. I prefer strawberry. What does the ape kingdom enjoy.

Gina, thanks for visiting. Nutella is DELISH!

Anne, I'm taken aback. I ALWAYS comment on others' blogs in response to all my comments. I have a FT job -with no internet access during the day- and I write for hours each day, so I'm not as fast as others. It's a high honor to be on my blog roll, because I'm following an insane # of blogs - over 300! [I return all follows.] You'll find this grows increasingly harder to do as your following grows past 300, then 400...The give-and-take, though, is what it's all about.

  21. Pat, sorry you're in the desert with PB&J chocolate nowhere in sight, but I'm glad you liked the interview.

YW, the odds are with me, you'd think, if I keep playing the raffle. And it's a yummy combination. But I'm sure you have fantastic chocolate in Ireland.

Diane, I'm glad you have TJ's in Raleigh. I actually had no idea how widespread it is. Do let me know if you try it.

Al, our politics and educational system may stink, but we've got the PB&J Milk Chocolate bar.

Chuck, no, don't go to PTM's place. Drats! You already did. Actually, I'm glad. I'm sure you got a good laugh.

Beverly, I can respect your chocolate purity. It's honorable. But you can't have my chocolate. BTW, I've missed you! It's great to see you again. Thanks for visiting.

Beth, actually, most of their food is healthy. I just spotlight the unehealthy elements.

Singer, why, thank you. Videos? I'm not responsible for any of those, but I'm glad you enjoyed them.

  22. At my age everything can give me a heart attack, so chocolate works for me.

  23. The first Trader Joe's in San Antonio opened not too long ago, but I haven't been there yet. It's over near Whole Foods, so I need to plan for a full day!

  24. Oh my gosh that looks AMAZING!! I love PB&J!! I'm going to have to make myself a PB&J now and maybe add some nutella to it since I don't have a TJ very close. Okay, I'm heading over to PTM now so I can stop drooling...

  25. As long as we have chocolate and peanut butter, we'll always be good to go.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, I went there and was not only enlightened but entertained as well. :-)

And I would SO eat a PB&J chocolate bar. Sounds heavenly.

  29. Why you old horndog, you! What a salacious good time. you had me howling with laughter.

That PB&J bar looks delicious, we have a Trader Joe's not far from the office where I work. Good thing it takes a good walk to get there.

  30. John, yeah, everything seems to potentially cause death anyway, so might as well eat chocolate as much as possible while you can.

Carol, that sounds like a fun day's outing. You can get all the good produce at Whole Foods and all the good miscellaneous "I don't need this but it looks delicious" stuff at TJs.

BabySis, Nutella is a great substitute.

Al, what else is there? Well, there's sex, money,...but chocolate is the most accessible.

Pearl, your words always bring me cheer. Thanks for visiting and commenting. I'm glad you liked our entertainingly sick post. It was really fun.

Vanessa, sure, but if you lie more than once per year, I might start to catch on.

Thanks so much, Julie, and thanks for voting for The King!

  31. This makes me sad that our Trader Joe's is still being built and won't be done for months. I'll take my chocolate with a side of Two Buck Chuck! Keep it classy!
